The Jordantimes and Their Twitter Account

This time we'll take a little intermezzo from daily jokes and humors, because recently when I browse in my Twitter I found something interesting. I want to introduce you to a phenomenon in Middle East media network, which called The Jordan Times. The Jordan Times is an English language daily newspaper that was established in 1975 in Amman, Jordan. This newspaper is focusing on local Jordan news, including political, business, sports, and opinion.

You might've wondering, what's so special about this small newspaper? I tell you what, this local media is have more follower on Twitter than the giant Middle East news network, Al Jazeera! You can find The Jordan Times account in Twitter as @jordantimes, and you'll see that it already have more than 30.000 followers. Well, of course you can't compare it with worldwide media such as New York Times who has millions follower. But this number can be mention as great considering it only contains local news, and should just attract local citizens. The fact, @jordantimes follower come from all over the world.

The Jordan Times, which is owned by the Jordan Press Foundation, have some notable journalist, such as Remi George Khouri (alumni), which was constantly wrote for Boston Globe and Washington Post from his home in Amman. That's why their news is sharp, accurate, and fast delivered. It can also be seen in Twitter how they're so fast in tweets their story there. Just try to visit their account at @jordantimes and have a nice chat with their editor, and soon you might become one of their followers...

Manu Ginobili vs Bat

The San Antonio Spurs’ Manu Ginobili showed off his quick hands — capturing a bat, when Spurs beats the Sacramento Kings 113-94 on Saturday night NBA Game. Late in the first period a bat swooped into the AT&T Center and descended onto the court. Players scattered and officials stopped play.

“That was amazing,” teammate Tony Parker said after the game. “The legend continues with Manu. Unbelievable. ... He’s always doing crazy stuff.”
