Steve Jobs Famous Quotes

Steve Jobs has passed away on October 5, 2011, which suspected because of his pancreatic cancer. You must have been familiar with Apple Inc. and all their products, which include MacBook, iPod, iPad, and iPhone. However, I don't think that those gadgets are Steve Jobs most precious legacies. Instead, I choose his brilliant and revolutionary mind as the things that made this world a brighter place.

As an attribute to the Apple Inc. co-founder and former CEO, now I post some of Steve Jobs inspirational and famous quotes, which most of them perfectly describe his vision.

"Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works."

"I want to put a ding in the universe."

"Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower."

"Sometimes when you innovate, you make mistakes. It is best to admit them quickly, and get on with improving your other innovations."

"Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me … Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful… that’s what matters to me."

"Why join the navy if you can be a pirate?"

"I’ve always wanted to own and control the primary technology in everything we do."

"We don’t get a chance to do that many things, and every one should be really excellent. Because this is our life. Life is brief, and then you die, you know? And we’ve all chosen to do this with our lives. So it better be damn good. It better be worth it."

"That’s been one of my mantras — focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains."

"I think if you do something and it turns out pretty good, then you should go do something else wonderful, not dwell on it for too long. Just figure out what’s next."

R.I.P and Good Job Steve Jobs (1955-2011)!

Obviously Not a Geek

Have you read our older post about stupid PC costumer? For those who're familiar with the tech world, or even called themselves geek, those kind of honest mistakes seem to be impossible to happen. But hey, there are a lot of people out there that have "real life" and not depend on computer, internet, and social networks. Those are the kind of people that rarely touch a PC, or just once in a while, when they really need it.

These are another collection of true story about "stupid" PC user. Well, probably not all were true, but at least these are make sense:

Long Password

During a recent PASSWORD AUDIT by the bank, they found that Rick was using the following password:

MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofyLondon

When they asked me why Rick had such a long password, he replied:
''Are you frickn' stupid? I was told that my password had to be at least 8 characters long and include one capital!''

Overheard in a computer shop:
Customer: "I'd like a mouse mat, please."
Salesperson: "Certainly sir, we've got a large variety."
Customer: "But will they be compatible with my computer?"

A friend once received a fax with a note on the bottom to fax the document back to the sender when he was finished with it, because the sender needed to keep it.

Computer Problem

Ted had a computer problem yesterday, so he called Eric, the 11 year old next door, whose bedroom looks like Mission Control and asked him to come over.

Eric clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.
As he was walking away, Ted called after him, 'So, what was wrong?

He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.'

Ted didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired,
'An, ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.'

Eric grinned.... 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T errors before?
'No,' Ted replied.

‘Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out.'

So Ted wrote down:

ID10T

Ted used to like Eric, the little b*stard.

According to iPhone, Brad Pitt is Ugly

How do you define if someone is beautiful or ugly? By feeling, is the common answer, but that's not the case anymore for iPhone user. Apple launched its new application for iPhone, called Ugly Meter.

This program let iPhone user to take a picture of someone's face, and then analyzes it in real time before giving a scoring point. The scale is 1-10, where higher means uglier.

When it tried to scored some celebrity pictures, the results were kinda shocking. Daily Mail reported, one of the sexiest women in the world, Cheryl Tweedy, got the score of 4, along with the comment of "Wow, you're ugly, is your doctor a vet?" from the application. While the actress that become male's fantasy because of her voluptuous breast, Christina Hendricks, got the perfect 10 score, and received the comment "You're so ugly, you could model for death threats".

Is the application is inaccurate? Maybe not, because it says exactly as we're thinking about Angelina Jolie's face, "You're so hot that you make the sun jealous". While her partner, Brad Pitt, got the core of 8, meaning that he's pretty ugly for a celeb.

Pics credited to: Daily Mail

Whatever it is, this Ugly Meter is for entertainment only. This application is available for the forth generation of iPod Touch and iPhone 4. It can be downloaded from Apple Store just for $0.99. Boy, how the men in Apple really know how to make money, eh?

Cool and Fun Cars' Accessories

I never imagined before that cute cars like Mini Cooper and Volkswagen (VW) Golf can be modified into a cool rides. With the right addition of accessories, any cars can become more fun, and most importantly, more personalize and shows about your true identity.

I recently found a cool upgrade that can be applied to any automobiles, vertical doors. This accessory also known as scissors doors, beetle-wings doors, jack-knife doors, and mostly as Lamborghini doors or Lambo doors. This due to the fact that the first production car to feature the doors was a Lamborghini Countach.

The innovator of this design was Marcello Gandini, an Italian car designer who noted for designing numerous exotic as well as practical cars. He was having concern over the car's extremely poor rear visibility. That was why he designed the vertical doors, that in order to reverse the car, the driver would be able to lift the door and lean his upper body out of the hatch in order to see behind the car.

This Lambo doors or vertical doors have some advantages over conventional doors:
  • The possibility of operating the car with the door open.
  • Can be useful for parking in a tight space.
  • The hinge is placed in a similar location to a conventional door, so a convertible version of the car is possible.
Now, let's talk about the cool parts. When you grab the Lambo door handle is where the fun begins. Just pull the door to regular distance and then it will stop. Just lift up, and now watch as it elevates above and beyond! The door will reach a point where it will not go any higher. This allows you to effortlessly get in and out of your vehicle- talk about luxury! It is a dazzling appearance that is unforgettable for every pair of eyes who witness it!

As usual, to define your vehicle's true identity, we always recommend you to check CARiD. Did you ever listen to your genius friends mention 404, bot, or CTR when they were speaking about internet? And you ever thinked what the hell did it mean? Well, you're not alone, a lot of people don't understand what those words mean too. That's why we need The Alternative Webmaster Glossary. Why it called alternative? I found these hilarious glossary when I browsed the net for information about buying/sell website. Well, I'm a beginner too and need to learn some words before make a deal with some pro. Okay, these Alternative Glossary is very funny, but also informative. Learn and laugh guys, here are some other examples:

Alta Vista: The search engine (view history) that was once the best in the world but which suffered from a name that sounded very much like hasta la vista, baby. Spookily prescient.

Content Website: A site put together by someone so full of himself that he believes what he has to say is more important than the ads.

CTR: Cloned Textus Receptus. Also used to mean Click Through Ratio.

Dogpile: A carpet made out of man's best friend.

MCSE: Must Consult Someone Experienced. Mindless Consultant Suffocates Easily.

Microsoft: A medical condition that you can remedy with a little blue tablet.

SE: Search Engine. Or Search Engines. Yes, there are others. Yahoo, MSN, Teoma etc. have all, at various times, been accused of being search engines.

SERP/S: Search Engine Results Page/s, the page of results you get when you type a search term into a search engine. They're usually filled with SPAM but you can ignore the ads and use the main (organic) listings before you give up and get your Yellow Pages.

SPAM: Site Positioned Above Me. Well, not really. Strictly speaking SPAM is UCE. Yes, just that, unwanted email. But it's used to mean a variety of unwanted things. I've even got a SPAM teenager daughter. Usage: Spamming blogs and guestbooks with links to your spammy site may get your spammy ass into spammy SERPS.

And there are stilll much more terms you need to know. To continue laugh please visit the original website where I took this article form. Cheers!

True Stories about Stupid PC Customer

"I downloaded Netscape and tried to install it. It said not to install this version if I was running Win95. So I uninstalled 95..."

Compaq is considering changing the command "Press Any Key" to "Press Return Key" because of the flood of calls asking where the "Any" key is.

An IBM customer had trouble installing software and rang for support. "I put in the first disk, and that was OK. It said to put in the second disk, and had some problems with the disk. When it said to put in the third disk - I couldn't even fit it in..." The user hadn't realized that "Insert Disk 2" meant to remove Disk 1 first.

Caller: "Hello, is this Tech Support?"
Tech: "Yes, it is. How may I help you?"
Caller: "The cup holder on my PC is broken and I am within my Warranty period. How do I go about getting that fixed?"
Tech: "I'm sorry, but did you say a cup holder?"
Caller: "Yes, it's attached to the front of my computer."
Tech: "Please excuse me if I seem a bit stumped, It's because I am. Did you receive this as part of a promotion, at a trade show? How did you get this cup holder? Does it have any trademark on it?"
Caller: "It came with my computer, I don't know anything about a promotional. It just has '4X' on it." At this point the Tech Rep had to mute the caller, because he was laughing too hard. The caller had been using the load drawer of the CD-ROM drive as a cup holder.

Funny Opinion about whether Computer is a Male or Female

As you are aware, ships have long been characterized as being female (e.g., "Steady as she goes" or "She`s listing to starboard, Captain!")
Recently, a group of computer scientists (all males) announced that computers should also be referred to as being female. Their reasons for drawing this conclusion follow:

Five reasons to believe computers are female:

1. No one but the Creator understands their internal logic.

2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else.

3. The message "Bad command or file name" is about as informative as, "If you don`t know why I`m mad at you, then I`m certainly not going to tell you."

4. Even your smallest mistakes are stored in long-term memory for later retrieval.

5. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

However, another group of computer scientists, (all female) think that computers should be referred to as if they were male. Their reasons follow:

Five reasons to believe computers are male:

1. They have a lot of data, but are still clueless.

2. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem.

3. As soon as you commit to one you realize that, if you had waited a little longer, you could have obtained a better model.

4. In order to get their attention, you have to turn them on.

5. Big power surges knock them out for the rest of the night.
